Join a Team

Here are some ways you can serve in Guest Services:

Café -  Our Café provides a place for connection, a good cup of coffee, and breakfast. If you enjoy serving others with a smile, consider serving in the Café! Commitment: One Sunday a month | Before Serving: Complete Belong and attend a Café training session. (A background check is required)

Greeter - Would you enjoy welcoming guests and attendees to church with a smile and word of greeting, or directing parents to the Kid's Hub and inviting guests to get a cup of coffee in the Café? You can be on the front lines of Petra's hospitality! Commitment: One Sunday a month (before the 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service) | Before Serving: Complete Belong and attend a Greeter training session.

Usher - Do you like making people feel comfortable and at home wherever they are? Would you enjoy welcoming guests, helping them to find their seats, and putting valuable resources into people's hands? Commitment: One Sunday a month (9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service) | Before Serving: Complete Belong and attend an Usher training session. (A background check required)

Communion - Join our Communion Team to be part of the Setup or Serve Team. Commitment: One Sunday, four to five times per year at either our 9 or 11 a.m. service or at our Good Friday service. Before Serving: Complete Belong, and receive training in the communion process.

Hubs - If you enjoy helping people connect with what's happening at Petra, then the Hubs Team will give you the opportunity to do just that! This Team helps our church community connect to opportunities and events at Petra. When needs arise, we help connect people to solutions - serving as a dispatch/call center for emergency and/or medical needs. Commitment: One Sunday a month (9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service) at a one-year commitment. | Before Serving: Complete Belong.

Resource Hub - Helping our church family find resources that encourage growth is important. Those who serve at the Resource Hub provide cashier services and answer questions to help everyone find and purchase the resources they are looking for. They also help people register for events. Commitment: One Sunday a month (10:15 – 11 a.m.) | Before Serving: Complete Belong and receive training on our available resources and register system. (Experience with a cash register preferred)

Safety - Our Safety Team provides a safe environment for all our guests, especially children, who are on our Petra Campus. Commitment: One Sunday a month (9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service) | Before Serving [Church Requirements]: Complete Belong, complete and submit a Petra Service Application, and attend a Safety Training Session [State Requirements]: PA State Police Criminal Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, and FBI Volunteer Affidavit.
