Early Childhood Coordinator / Children's Administrative Assistant
Emily is our Early Childhood Coordinator! She works with our Kingdom Kids, who are Babies through Pre-K. Her role includes coordinating volunteers for Sunday mornings and events, preparing lessons for that age range, organizing classrooms, and working closely with the other Kingdom Kids leaders.
Emily grew up in the Lutheran Church. She went to church with her mom and siblings every Sunday morning. It wasn’t until Emily met her husband, Chris, in college that she developed a personal relationship with the Lord and began attending Petra Church. Emily graduated from Millersville University with her bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood. Her background includes teaching third grade at Blue Ball Elementary and filling in as a substitute teacher in the district.
Together, she and her husband have 4 kids. In her free time, Emily enjoys attending her kids’ sporting events, reading, tending to plants, organizing, making bread, and doing puzzles. Emily is very passionate about education and desires parents to know their children are well cared for in our classrooms. She hopes to lead parents to Jesus through the impact we have on their kids. She also loves to give children the opportunity to connect with their peers while also providing biblical, foundational truths at such an early age!
