Petra’s Response to Covid-19

May 15, 2020 updated

The Petra Campus will be closed until May 24.

The Petra team continues to monitor the Coronavirus situation and the recommendations of government officials. We want to keep you informed on how we can do “Church where you are” without gathering on campus. Here are some options for staying connected.

Kids & Students

It's important to us that kids and students can still learn and grow despite not gathering in person. We're providing ways for parents to engage with their kids by sharing age-appropriate discussion points on our Facebook page, our Petra website, and emails. Children’s Ministry will also share curriculum and lessons throughout the week via email for parents to use with their children.

Student Ministries will be using social media to stay connected with each the EDGE56, EDGE78, and High School students.

Outreach and How You Can Serve

Take this opportunity to be a good neighbor. Sometimes crises can be a conversation starter and eliminate awkward introductions. Maybe you have never learned your neighbor's name. You can use this time to introduce yourself and then say, "If you need anything, let me know." Offer to pray for them, or say, "Let's keep our ears open if any of our other neighbors need a hand."

Prayer is always powerful. All across the county, let's offer to pray for those experiencing fear, anxiety, or uncertainty.

THE WAKE – Young Adults
